About Me

Welcome to my college gymnastics recruiting website. I am currently training to be a level 10 gymnast at Energym Gymnastics in Sycamore, Illinois. I have been in gymnastics since I was two years old, and I have competed since I was about ten. Gymnastics is important to me because it has taught me to work hard and improve myself, both mentally and physically. Over the last five years, I have received many end of season awards from my coaches for being the “Hardest Worker” (3x), or “Most Improved” (3x). In addition to working on my competition routines, I also practice new skills so I can upgrade my routines. I am always giving 110% at the gym because I know that what I do there translates into what I compete. Gymnastics isn’t the only place that I give 110%; I also work very hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA in high school.

Competing gymnastics at the college level has always been a goal of mine. I’m training to be a level 10 for the 2015-2016 season, competing all of the skill upgrades I am currently working. Some of the new skills I have been working include: Vault: Yurchenko layout, Bars: Geinger, Beam: flip-flop/back tuck, hoping to get flip-flop layout, Floor: 2 ½ back twist, tuck double back, pike double back, front full, front full/punch front.

I would love to be able to participate in college gymnastics because I love the atmosphere when I attend college meets. I want to be part of a large, supportive team where everyone has the same passion for the sport. I feel that I would bring a supportive attitude and a good work ethic to the team.
